GOOD POSITIVE STORIES FROM THIS WEEK:
LAYAWAY TAKEN CARE OF!
Christmas is looking merrier for Walmart customers thanks to Tyler Perry. According to TMZ, the filmmaker wrote out two big checks to Atlanta-area Walmarts Thursday, covering the costs of outstanding layaway items.
The total spend came to more than $400K. Customers can pick up their goods if they go to Walmart and pay a penny, according to Perry who explained his gesture in a video shared on social media.
Perry is known for his kindness to others; this year alone, the Madea filmmaker bought an old friend’s mom a house and gave Geoffrey Owen an acting gig after finding out he was working at Trader Joe’s to make ends meet. (Once Bill Cosby went to jail, no one wanted to air The Cosby Show, and royalties dried up).

After he handed it into the food bank, police held the money for 90 days in case anyone turned up to the claim the cash. After the three months passed, police gave the money to the food bank to keep. As a reward for his honesty, Booth was rewarded with a portion of the money in gift cards. (People)FAST FACTS:
