JACOB CARTWRIGHT is lucky to be alive after his tractor-trailor slipped down a muddy embankment on the way from Portland to Nyssa, Oregon and he wound up stuck in the wilderness without any cell phone service. The trucker’s boss, ROY A. HENRY, says his trusty driver walked 12-13-hours per-day for three days until he found the interstate, got a ride home to La Grande and was checked out by local medical personnel. The poor guy got lost when he put the wrong address into his GPS device, his kidneys stopped functioning because he was so dehydrated and may have frostbite on his foot. On the bright side, Jacob is a shoo-in for Employee of the Year –he didn’t touch the truck full of potato chips because they simply weren’t his.
