I started my life at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. Raised by a nomadic military family, I’ve seen most of the United States and Europe. In 1988 I moved to Laramie and attended UW for Broadcast Communications. My First Radio Job was at a little station in Laramie in 1991. Since then I have worked in Radio in Casper WY, Billings MT, Macomb IL and in 2000, moved to Grand Junction for a Radio Gig. After a few years, I was drawn into the oilfield…. A ten year stint was all I could handle and in June of 2016 I was called to the 100.7 The Vault.
I’m the youngest of four and grew up in Phoenix. At age 16 I left home and moved to Flagstaff to earn a degree at Northern Arizona University. I worked at two campus radio stations and three commercial stations before leaving to become a sheriff’s deputy and later a dispatcher. Radio Station Talley: 5. Next up, a job in Phoenix doing news at KFYI and KKFR Radio. Radio station Talley: 7. I left Phoenix for Grand Junction and two years at KREX TV. Since 1988 I’ve worked at approximately one dozen stations in the valley- counting different call letters and ownership. Final Radio Station Talley: 24? WOW! Most of the last 30 years have been in morning radio, nearly 20 of those with Robert St. John on stations including Moose Country. Pat and I are looking forward to the next 20 years on The Vault.
