7 days have gone by since my fiftieth (50) birthday. It’s funny that as we age the Milestones are further apart (for the most part)…. 1,5,10,13,16,18,21,25,30,40,50,65; ouch, only one more left. But really what does it mean?
My son tells me he feels different now that he is a legal driver. Sure I get that, but as we age… there isn’t really a difference in a date or age. I’m only reminded of my age when I look in the mirror, or run (which is never), maybe when I stand up too fast. Well maybe there are some differences; but they’ve been a long time in the making.
One thing I have noticed since I’ve turned 50: twice in the last week I have coughed while sitting at my desk. To my surprise, expelled what sounded like an irritated goose honking the national anthem.
So I guess I can say that I feel a lot different now that I’m 50. Never trust a cough, either.
